and I appear unharmed. Returning today after not logging in on the 17th in protest of Tumblr’s asinine new rules, I hear that a number of blogs have been killed by what I can only imagine is some inane bot they’ve implemented to enforce their fascism.
Regardless, I have survived (let’s have a sound off of who else is left,) and will resume activities as normal today. Hopefully this site doesn’t go down in a totally immolating ball of flame, but if it does, I’ll remind you all again that I have an Instagram that I’m pretty active on.

An Oakeshott type XVIa or XVII Longsword, German or Swiss, 1350-1425, housed at the Higgins Collection.
Bronze statuette of the cat goddess Bastet, Bast. Late Period, ca. 664-332 BC. The sculpture is known as the Gayer-Anderson cat after Major Robert Grenville Gayer-Anderson who donated it to the British Museum. The cat wears jewelry and a protective wadjet amulet.
A copy of the statue is kept in the Gayer-Anderson Museum, located in Cairo. Photo: Mike Dixon, Heritage Images.
